01Is it OK to announce a surcharge by text?

For customers who already communicate with you by text and have agreed to receive messages, yes. For contract customers, also send written notice by email or letter.

02How long should the text be?

One or two sentences: who you are, what changes, how much, from when, and that it's temporary.
